Got kids? Wondering which rides are best to enjoy and fastpass AND are kid approved? Read on for our Epcot list.
Hey guys, here you go. Another installment of…what my kids want to fastpass. As you might know…I recently had to make fastpasses for my family’s BIG Disney World Vacation. This time around I asked my kids to take control. They picked the dining locations AND the rides. But more specifically which rides I was to fastpass. They had to follow the guidelines set by Disney, per the Tiered System but got to pick whatever they wanted. My kids are not dare-devils but they are very Disney experienced…so basically these are rides picked by kid experts. Epcot Rides for Kids…
The BIG 3:
The BIG 3 as I call them are the 3 more “thrilling” rides that Epcot has to offer. Of course the kicker is, you can only fastpass ONE and my kids put all 3 on the list. So this is where major planning comes to play. I was able to pass 2 of the 3 and the 3rd we will be “running” too first thing in the morning. Those 3 rides are of course Soarin, Test Track and Frozen Ever After. All are amazing, which is why they are all my kids favorite. Test Track was the front runner for this trip since we just got back from riding Soarin‘ at Disneyland. And who isn’t tired of Olaf, right?!?!
We LOVE this ride!! Its a little dated, but that’s part of its charm. Its a ride throughout the ages, learning and witnessing the creation of communication. Of Technology. Watch man go from cave drawings to scrolls. See the written word get etched into time in books. Learn about the first computers and see how it all began. The best part, IMO, is the corny outfits and facial expressions on the characters faces. Its a great, slow moving, family friendly ride complete with some education. You can even create a futuristic, environmental home on the screen of your vehicle. This I am sure. is my kids favorite part. I can’t wait, especially as rumor has it….its getting a refurbishment soon.
Living with the Land:
So this is probably one of my least favorite rides, but most love it. Its Epcot, so of course this is an educational one. Its a slow moving boat ride, kinda like Its a Small World but without the intoxicating singing, lol. The best part of this ride is the garden area, in fact I could hang out in this section and skip the rest. You get to watch and be amazed by soil-free growing of all sorts of plants. Veggies growing from above, not in the ground, with recycled water that feeds plant after plant. And since I mentioned it, the part I don’t like is the tanks. They show you fish and other sea life and mention how the fish help feed the plants, but they also say how those fish also fed the surrounding restaurants. Being Vegan, that part isn’t my cup of tea.
So…whats on your kids list? Have you ever thought of letting the kids control the trip? Within reason, of course. My kids never know when we are going, but they know its booked and help plan when asked. This trip will be extra special as I am just the Travel Agent on this one, the rest is on them. They even picked the Resort.
