Nothing worse than coming home from vacation. Got the Disney vacation blues? I do. READ my TIPS to help curve the pain and sadness…
Hey fans, long time NO post. Oops. I’ve been on vacation and as I hoped I would be able to post, I was TOO busy having fun and enjoying my family. I am sure you understand. But now that I am home, I’ve got the Disney vacation blues. Nothing worse than coming home and being stuck in your normal reality. But here are a few tips to help.
So you are home, missing the mouse and need a quick fix? Look at your vacation images. Download your pictures from Memory Maker. Work on a scrapbook. Make a photo book. I highly suggest you do this NOW verses later as later always gets pushed back and back. So do it now, while the vacation is fresh in your mind and you still have all the warm, fuzzy feelings.
What to do with all those extra snack credits from the Meal Plan? Get snacks! Think Disney shaped yummy goodness. Score snacks with Mickey on the package. Get your favorite treat to-go. We love the Dark Chocolate covered pretzels or the Allergy-friendly Enjoy Life Disney bars. If you have the extra credits, use them. Get treats to eat at home, share with family/friends. Pack in school lunches. Save for a rainy day. Save for when the Disney blues come on strong.
Book another Trip:
One thing that helps us with the vacation blues is knowing we have another trip right around the corner. For us its Walt Disney World, just in time for the opening of the 2nd Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Ride 🙂 Having a trip to look forward too helps ease you into life at home. I have many clients who book their next trips within 1-2 months from coming home. I have even had a few who booked when on the current trip. So think about your next adventure and seal the deal.
Choosing the RIGHT Souvenirs:
So we love to get souvenirs that remind us of our vacation. Puzzles are a big one for us. WE love putting together each and every puzzle we have gotten and remember each and every vacation as we do so. Same with Disney themed board games, for which we own several. And on our most recent trip my daughter got Sabacc, the game played in Star Wars. WE also got chance cubes for times when we need to decide which meal to eat or who gets to go first at something. Christmas ornaments are also hit. Nothing like remembering your trip while decking the halls on your tree.
How about you? What fun things do you do to keep the Disney Magic alive?
