Peter Pan’s Secret LOST THINGS – Disneyland

While riding Peter Pan’s Flight in Disneyland…the kids and I noticed something. Something we never noticed before – Peter’s Lost Things? Secret?

Hey Fans, this is a quick one 🙂 A few weeks back the kids and I rode Peter Pan for like the hundredth time and we noticed something. Something we never realized before. After researching on the net…we are still rather clueless. So for you Disneyland fans…have you noticed this? What is this hidden secret?

Tick Tock, Tick Tock
Lost Things:

After being in a long line that stopped for a bit, we noticed little bronze figures in the ride queue. After looking and looking, these items are everywhere. Look up, look down, look around doorways and beams. We saw ships, anchors, lost items, toys, Nana, etc.

NANA!!!

So I ask…have you noticed these before? What are they? When were they put there? Are they from the original design or an add-on from a refurbishment. I have never noticed these before. Aim I blind, too busy playing with my phone? I am so baffled by these and yet, I can’t find any info online. SEE images for examples. Of course after looking more closely at my pictures, I think they might be “original” and after years of oily hands touching, they have lost some original paint coloring or masking. Thus making them more visible to discover. FUN!!

John’s Top Hat?

So as this is not like my usual Blog Posts…I had to ask the public, the Social Media world. Perhaps a Cast Member from the ride knows? We were in such a rush to hit as many rides as we could, I forgot to ask. Either way, make sure to pay attention, even in line. You just never know what Disney Imagineers will hide for you to see. Hidden Mickeys, props from previous rides (Winnie the Pooh) and even hidden secrets from the creation of the ride itself. So put those phones down and explore 🙂

Disney Rides, KID Approved – Magic Kingdom

Got kids? Wondering which rides are best to enjoy and fastpass AND are kid approved? Read on for our Magic Kingdom list.

Hey guys, as you might know…I had to make fastpasses this week for my family’s BIG Disney World Vacation. This time around I asked my kids to take control. They picked the dining locations AND the rides. But more specifically which rides I was to fastpass. They had to follow the guidelines set by Disney, per the Tiered System but got to pick whatever they wanted. My kids are not dare-devils but they are very Disney experienced…so basically these are rides picked by kid experts. Magic Kingdom Rides for Kids…

Adventureland:

Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean are a HUGE hit for my kids. Perhaps its because they have been doing them since babyhood or perhaps its because I have “forced” them on them enough times but they were both on the list. They love Jungle Cruise for the cheesy safari humor and when you have an amazing skipper, it can make the experience/memory. And who doesn’t love the 8th Wonder of the World?!?! Pirates is great for the action and minor hill drop but mostly for the silly pirate antics that ensue. I have been calling them “silly pirates” since they were toddlers and it worked in my favor. My kids can’t get enough of these “really bad eggs”

Haunted Mansion:

Do I need to say anything about this ride? I feel like just saying, mic drop, lol. Haunted Mansion is another ride that we never miss and was independently placed on the list. They have been listening to the music since birth; I remember holding them in the “elevator” area and talking about “silly ghosts” as the ride progressed. It was an instant hit for my daughter. My son still needs some convincing, but secretly…he loves it. I think he likes playing the “I am scared card” for more mom hugs. But either way, if you prepared your kids for this ride, it can be a fun experience.

Haunted Mansion!!
Tomorrowland:

It’s also no surprise that my kids listed the Buzz Lightyear ride. You know, where you shoot “guns” at targets. Where you try to defeat Zurg. Of course the HUGE hit to this game for my kids is…beating mom. Yep…I am the champion in the family and everyone loves to gang up on me to beat my score. It is not beneath them to distract me when I am trying to continue my winning streak. Tomorrowland Speedway was also on the list, don’t tell the husband. Ummm…what kid wouldn’t want to drive and control a car on the “open” road?? My kids are still a little to short to reach the gas peddles, but they both love having complete control of the steering wheel. The more “crashing” the better.

Peter Pan:

Isn’t this on EVERYONES list? I mean within 20 minutes of opening for the day, Peter Pan can get super long, super fast. And there is nothing I hate more than waiting more than say 30 mins for a 45 second ride, lol. So this is a ride we fastpass, Only issue is, if you fastpass this ride you miss the entire queue area which was put in recently (well a few years now), but its super cute. So if you can score this ride, for under 30…try it out and enjoy the queue area. My kids love seeing where Tink will go.

So…whats on your kids list? Have you ever thought of letting the kids control the trip? Within reason, of course. My kids never know when we are going, but they know its booked and help plan when asked. This trip will be extra special as I am just the Travel Agent on this one, the rest is on them. They even picked the Resort.
