Disney is FILLED with goodies to buy. Ears, tees, plush – oh my. But which ones to purchase? What are the BEST Disney Souvenirs?
Hey guys, back again with another common question I get. People love to ask me how much they should set aside for souvenirs. Of course this is a difficult question to answer as we all have our own tastes and wants. But this is a list of my favorite souvenirs to look for and purchase when I am at Disney – so Enjoy!! Best Disney Souvenirs!
It should be NO surprise that Mouse Ears are #1 on my list. Not only do I collect them, but to me…they are 100% required to own after a Disney Vacation. Ladies get them as headbands and wear them with pride. Guys and boys, get the Ear Hats. They even make baseball caps with ears…so user friendly. I even own Ears that clip on my head to prevent any headband headaches. Get them at the parks, get them before you go, either way…make sure to score a cool pair. I especially love the traditional Mouseketeers hats. I still own mine from my FIRST trip to Disney World, its a collectible piece with my name proudly displayed. Heck I even wore it in my Senior Class pictures, yep…before it was cool to do that, lol.
Who can resist a mug? I mean we all own like a hundred and they sit and sit in our cupboard…but they are so cool and Disney makes SO many different ones. And there is NO better way to start your day, post trip, than drinking your fave beverage out of a Disney Mug. WE use ours for Ice Cream, Soup, Snacks AND Beverages. So if you see one you like, worry about where to put it later, lol. OR you can get ONE from each trip and hang them up as like a mug trophy collection. This is what my husband gets every trip and uses them proudly at work.
Ok, so assuming you celebrate Christmas – this is something I 100% get every trip. I love to remember our BIG family vacations with a decoration for the tree. On our Cruises I get a ship and write the year on the bottom. When in the parks we look for a fun one to remember a certain thing that might of happened…like first time on a certain ride for example. Or you can collect ALL glass ones or ALL character ones. So many options, how does one narrow it down.
Pins or Pressed Pennies:
These are something that many, many people collect. We don’t so much. We have some pins but that’s about it. My kids love getting the pressed pennies but they never leave our park bags, lol. But many people LOVE and live by the pins. So MANY pins, so many options, so many NEW ones to collect. And at about $12-15 a pin, it makes for an easy souvenir. Get one every trip and display them in a case when you get home. Same with the pennies. You can get an organizer, you can turn them in crafts (magnets) or you can keep in your purse to find again on a rainy day (like me).
I am sure there are hundreds of other great things to look out for like tees, jewelry, Disney bags, plush, collectible mini plush and more. Find your thing and rock it. I also love to look at the Disney Kitchen items, I own a few but don’t have a Disney Kitchen…yet 🙂
