Disney Water Rides – Who’s Gonna get WET?

I love going to Disney, but sometimes…you just don’t wanna get wet. OR perhaps you do? READ for Disney World Water Rides.

Hey fans, with it being summer and very HOT where I am, I was thinking about all the rides at Disney, where you get wet. Sometimes I don’t mind, sometimes (in the winter) I avoid and sometimes I just pop on a poncho and enjoy. What water rides are your favorites? Enjoy this list of Disney World Water Rides.

Splash Mountain:

Ok, so its in the name, Splash…this is a clue that you might come out wet. The fun thing about this ride is…as the front passengers might get the most wet…it also depends on who is on the boat with you. So…do you get the most wet when the boat is heavier or lighter? I really have NO clue, but I do know that I am ALWAYS wet, its just my luck. You can also get wet from the back-splash from the sides…so you just never know. Avoiding the front isn’t always the answer.

Kali River Rapids:

Again…I am cheating with this one…Rapids??? It SO means water. But like Splash Mountain this ride can also can vary on who gets wet. Not only is it a heavier verses lighter situation, but the ride kinda spins and bumps against the sides of the ride scenery and you just never know what actual seat you will be in. You could be the front, back or sides. But again, I am always the one that gets wet, its my luck in life. And this ride is the worst kind of wet, you can get soaked down to the undies (oh joy). So wrap up your stuff and pop on a poncho…cause you might get SOAKED. And if you see me, stay away…I am always the wet one 😉

Frozen Ever After:

I love this ride!! Of course if you have seen my Frozen Ever After video, you will know that when I rode it for the FIRST time, I had NO idea that you could get wet. It’s more of a splash wet, but it was enough to dampen my outfit and make my shoes squeak, lol. It’s also more of a front row wet, so avoid the front if trying to stay dry.

Pirate’s of the Caribbean:

So…I think this is an accidental ride where you “might” get wet, but it happens. I think about every-time I board my ship, the floor is wet, probably from the fall (dip). But you can also get a splash from the canons that fire in the Pirate Ship WAR scene. Last time my lens got so wet I had to stop filming to wipe my lens, oops. This isn’t a reason to avoid this ride by any means…but…it could be considered a ride where you get wet.

Its a Small World:

This ride is a Disney classic “dark” ride where you 100% don’t get wet, lol. Gotcha!! For those that started reading this thinking…Nina is crazy, you don’t get wet on this ride. I know. Bazinga 🙂 Ok wait, I did once…my kid put her hands in the water and got me.

Gran Fiesta Tour – Epcot

Headed to Disney World and wondering what rides to not miss? Well I have a hidden ride that fans LOVE.

Hey guys, after talking to one of you I was thinking about some rides that most or first timers don’t really know about, because they aren’t coasters or rides to fastpass. One of these rides is in Epcot – known as the Gran Fiesta Tour featuring Donald Duck.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros
Location:

As mentioned, this attraction is in Epcot…in the World Showcase. Its located in the Mexico Pavilion inside the giant Mayan pyramid. I wonder if some people just walk on past, not knowing what is inside. After you go up the stairs and into the Pyramid you enter a wonderful Mexico themed world.

Inside:

Inside you will find a spectacular Mexican shopping area, like an outdoor crafts festival. Complete with Sugar Skulls, Tequila, Mexican themed gear and Coco merchandise. I really love shopping and looking around in this space. AS a person can only own so many Sugar Skulls, its enjoyable to look around and explore. There is also a Table Service Restaurant and a RIDE. The San Angel Inn Restaurante is a nice Mexican restaurant, but whats cool about it is, you can watch the ride boats go by.

The Ride:

Ride boats did I say? That’s right, next to the restaurant is the RIDE – Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros. Yep, you heard me – Donald and the gang. You hop into a boat, like on Its a Small World and travel with Donald, Panchito and Jose through Mexico. Of course Donald gets into some trouble (as expected)…but its a simple, kinda stereotypical ride that fans just adore. I can’t go to Epcot without riding this attraction…and you shouldn’t either. Like all of Disney’s “dark” rides, its a must.

The Rumor:

I feel like there is always a rumor going on about this ride as well, it never has a long wait and at times, I can usually just walk on in. But since the Coco movie came out, the rumor is giving this ride a make-over. The Gran Fiesta Tour opened in 2007, its hard to think of it changing already…but Disney loves a good Character Makeover (I am talking to you Frozen Ever After). Not sure how I feel about this rumor as I loved Coco but also think Donald and the gang are long lasting characters that deserve a place to be celebrated.

I hope you give this ride a chance when in Epcot, its actually nice having a ride in the World Showcase area, its breaks up all the shopping and eating 😉 As simple as this ride seems, compared to others, its a good ride for all ages and keeps the memory of the Three Caballeros alive.
