Disney’s Polynesian Resort – Hotel REVIEW

Come LEARN and SEE why I LOVE Disney’s Polynesian Resort with this Hotel Review:

Hey guys and gals, thought I would post about my FAVORITE HOTEL, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.  This is the perfect Home away from Home when looking for a Disney Vacation Resort.  (Resort/Room TOUR)

Why oh why do I LOVE the Polynesian Village Resort, let me count the ways…

Breakdown of Reasons:
  1. Vibe – Paradise, Carefree, Tropical…the lush, peaceful, atmosphere.
  2. The People, that’s right…talking about Poly Cast Members…they make my Trip every.single.time.  So happy, helpful, friendly…and some have been there since day one, when the resort first opened.  The love felt from the CM’s does shine through.
  3. LOCATION – HELLO Monorail, Firework View, Walking Path to Epcot to a name a few.
  4. TIKI, TIKI, TIKI – love me some tiki culture – walk the resort and explore.dscn4219-e1560479570657.jpg
  5. Dole Whips (Mic Drop! Right?!?!)
  6. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto (Polynesian Tiki Bar filled with Magic, Mystery and Delight)
  7. Club Level – lets talk about this when ready to book (love Club Level here)
  8. Evening Torch Lighting Ceremony
  9. Getting Lei’d, Making Leis, Hair Flowers and other Handmade Floral items
  10. Spirit of Aloha Show – can’t wait to do this again
  11. And my favorite and most important reason why…it makes me HAPPY, it makes me cry happy tears when I walk through the doors.  I cry when I see the lobby, get welcomed home and get my lei.  Underneath my Sunglasses (which I keep on for a reason)..this travel agent is crying, mascara running, face turning flush crying.

Its the little things…I didn’t want to sleep and ruin my Mickey Towels

My posts end with Mahalo and I start my Videos with Aloha…I have drunk the Poly “Kool-aid” and I like it.  My entire house is Polynesian themed AND I might have a problem actually…the tikis are taking over and its paradise.

After Boarding…Find a Pool Chair and JUMP IN!

You should RELAX, EXPLORE, EAT and DRINK (if that’s your wish).  You should POOL, PLAY and SPLASH!!  But seriously…all of those things.  Make a list and do what’s most important.  TO me – its FOOD, how fast can I get some Disney Eats in my Belly.

For others – its finding the BEST pool spot, grabbing a chair, a drink and catching some sweet rays.  Others its…find the nearest bartender for a drink (Party time is HERE).

So many options, which to chose.  Again…make that list and decide.  Board with your swimsuit ON, board ready to grab a bite and chill.  SO many food options, Buffet, restaurant with Menu, pool grab & go eats.  You really can do it all.  You can POOL, EAT and Drink at the same time!  Head up to Deck 9/10 (depending on the ship) and go forth and conquer.  Generally speaking the Pool and Buffet are on the same deck…so follow the crowd and ENJOY!

PLEASE watch the VIDEO, Subscribe to my Channel and FOLLOW along.  I have LOTS to share and between Blogging and Vlogging…I am gonna try to share it all.

Disney’s March of the FIRST ORDER – REVIEW

Love Star Wars?  How about the Stormtrooper March, known as March of the First Order.

Hey guys, today we will talk about one of my FAVORITE things at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – the Stormtrooper March, also known as March of the First Order.  This is a totally cool, semi-intimidating “parade” like event that happens daily, every hour, on the hour, in the daytime AND perfect for ANY Star Wars Fan.

I remember when I first saw it, it was a few years back, the kids were SO much younger and very new to the world known as Star Wars.  We were waiting for our late breakfast reservations at Hollywood & Vine and sitting on a bench when I start hearing the “March” music…you know the tune when Darth Vader is entering a room.  I ran to the center of the park with my camera ready for action and was amazed.  I think I even cried.  How did I not know this was happening…turns out it was NEW, very, very NEW…I witnessed one of the first shows they ever did.  It was so amazing, thrilling and a bit scary…I mean this was before Stormtroopers were walking the park searching for the Resistance.  To see them ALL march like that, to music…Dark Side music…I mean you skip a beat a little.

The kids, of course, wondered why mom ran away and they join me…front and center.  We were hooked.  I had to hold my youngest hand, but he (secretly) loved it too.  WE saw it 3 times that day, lol.

What is it?  Basically it is what it sounds like…it’s Stormtroppers marching.  They march down Hollywood Boulevard towards the stage that is center to the park, directly in front of the Chinese Theater.  They march like they do in the movies, like when they are following a Dark leader AND in this case…they are following the leadership of Captain Phasma – eek.  She actually speaks and commands that people give up Resistance followers and join the First Order.  Between her voice, the music and the sounds of several marching Stormtroppers…you step back a little.  They march to the stage, do a little show (which has changed a few times).  I won’t spoil it, but the mini show is a nice way to complete the march and even see a few surprise characters.

The March of the First Order

If you want to see the show, up front and close…wait near the stage.  If you want a clear view of the march, watch from the street, store front on Hollywood Boulevard.  Watch it a few times, watch it every hour if you want…but if you are a STAR WARS FANATIC like me, you will WATCH, CRY and Repeat!

Watch out…the First Order is coming.

NOTE – if you have young padawans or kids who aren’t into Star Wars or on the intimidated side…you might want to watch it first before inviting them…or just skip it.  I have heard from a few clients that it was too “intense” for their younglings.  Just a heads-up.  But my growing Star Wars Nerds love it and at this point follow Stormtroppers around the park hoping they will arrest them for being “good”.  Kids, lol.

Let me know what you think of the show and ENJOY!!  I would love to talk Star Wars some more (I can’t wait for Galaxy’s Edge), contact me for a quote if looking to vacation at Disney.  Mahalo for Reading and FOLLOWING along.  Did you know you can sign up for Blog Emails?  Nina
